More than 1550 of the 1682 foreign officials and officers currently employed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s 23 ongoing projects, including three CPEC projects, are Chinese, according to the study. The majority of the 100 or so foreign workers are engaged in oil and gas projects, as well as some dam construction.
According to the report, 5 to 7 security personnel have been deployed for the protection of every foreigner working in these 23 projects. This includes 500 private security personnel.

Others are working on different projects. According to him, following the attack on the vehicle of Chinese engineers in Bisham during this year, steps were taken under the special plan for the protection of foreign experts as a result of the instructions and consultations of the federal government, and the plan in this regard included the support and consultation of the Pakistan Army in addition to the relevant federal and provincial departments.
