Four Terrorists Killed in an Operation in Khyber

Security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Tirah valley tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the sources, an IBO was carried out in the area on secret information about the presence of militants in Tirah Valley.

During the conduct of operation, intensive fire exchange took place, as a result of which four terrorists were killed on the spot.

The security forces said that these four militants were in the wanted list for attacks on security forces, extortion and other terrorist incidents.

Earlier this morning, on Monday, One police soldier martyred and one FC was injured in an attack at the joint check post in Takhta Baig area of district Khyber.

District Police Officer Saleem Abbas Kalachi said that the police repulsed the attack by fighting bravely while the terrorists escaped.

According to senior analyst and expert in the War on Terror, Aqeel Yousafzai, Pakistan has witnessed an uptick in terror activities in the last few months, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

He added that this year the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has killed 124 terrorists and arrested 322 during the 434 operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the details released by CTD 55 attacks were foiled while 10 of the most wanted terrorist commanders were killed and eight arrested.

A senior journalist from Peshawar, Irfan Khan, said that this year KP was the primary center of violence. He added that 273 terrorist attacks were carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as a result of which 118 police were martyred and as many were injured.

The security forces price of the heads of dozens of wanted terrorists was also set, while on the other hand, in an important briefing, a group of journalists from Peshawar were told that 111 soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred during multiple attacks and operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year and 259 terrorists were killed in military and intelligence based operations.

The security forces stance is clear: this series of operations will go on, and in continuation of which, two more wanted terrorists were killed in Bajour on Saturday, June 29.
