DIKhan Highly Affected by Terrorist Attacks

Dera Ismail Khan, the hometown of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, was on top of the districts affected by terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year.

According to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) report, 563 people were martyred and injured in multiple terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year. Moreover, 76 policemen were martyred, 113 were injured, 65 civilians were martyred and 98 got injured during the 7 months of this year.

The report noted that 39 security forces persons were martyred and 87 were injured and 29 FC persons were martyred while 41 were injured.

The report said that terrorists killed 7 law enforcement officers and injured 2 officials in DI Khan. Terrorists have killed 4 politicians and injured 2 in Bajaur and North Waziristan this year.

According to the report, the home district of Chief Minister and Governor KP remains on the top as 23 policemen were martyred and 23 got injured in Dera Ismail Khan, while in district Bannu 12 policemen were martyred and 12 were injured. Similarly, 11 policemen were martyred and 32 were injured in Bajaur. In Peshawar 11 police persons were martyred and 11 injured by terrorists.
