Peshawar (Ghag Report)
United States media has revealed that since the establishment of the interim Afghan Taliban government, the US has provided them with $239 million.
The US administration stated that a large amount of money was mistakenly transferred to the Afghan Taliban due to inadequate verification.
However, critics have rejected this explanation, saying it’s impossible and that the money was given to the Afghan Taliban for fighting terrorism.
Some American analysts have harshly criticized this, arguing that the US taxpayers’ money is being recklessly given to a specific group to fight their enemies, but there’s no proof that this money was used against terrorism or for other purposes.
It is noteworthy that the US had approved joint efforts with the Afghan Taliban to fight the Islamic State’s Khorasan branch (ISIS-K).
Some critics also say that the US provided this large sum to fight ISIS-K, but so far, the interim Afghan government has neither confirmed nor denied this.
