Reckless Use of Resources by KP Government

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which has ruled the province unopposed since 2013, has resumed using the province’s government resources, manpower, and machinery for political purposes, and has accepted full responsibility for Sunday’s protest rally in Islamabad being a “success.” Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur seizes every opportunity to demonstrate that he is a better party worker than the province’s chief administrator, even though the war-torn province is plagued by economic woes, poor governance, and the worst form of instability. The Chief Minister is facing strong dissidence and resistance from within his party and the cabinet. Therefore, he is busy in the adventure of pleasing his “leader” to save his chair and the affairs of the province are not only getting worse day by day due to his disinterest. But they seem to be getting out of hand.

It is not only unfortunate but also disgraceful that the government publicly used personnel and assets to ensure the political demonstration in Islamabad would be a success. The fact that, as in the past, orders were given to mobilize the whole apparatus of the troubled province, and an effort was made to exacerbate tensions by utilizing the provincial apparatus against the federation

Taking everything into consideration, it is unfortunate that a policy has been decided upon to utilize Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a political front at such a crucial juncture. During one of its leadership meetings yesterday, the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan issued several other deadly directives and orders against Pakistan, including suicide assaults. As a result, concerns about a potential increase in security issues are being voiced.
