The campaign of disinformation against Pakistan on Indian social media and mainstream media has peaked. News and Current Affairs programmes are attempting to portray Baloch and Pashtuns as having rebelled against the Pakistani state, led by groups such as PTI and PTM in addition to TTP and BLA, through a methodical planning process. The repeated message of this propaganda campaign is that, in addition to India, the Afghan Taliban and their government also fund and assist all of these political or opposition movements and groups. Regarding this, an Indian analyst stated in remarks on September 14 that Imran Khan and his government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also pursuing a joint strategy to break Pakistan in addition to India and Afghanistan, and that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has begun efforts to turn over the region to the Taliban by accordance with this plan. For the reason that the analyst claims that Imran Khan, the leader of the Pashtuns, is being targeted by Pakistan’s influential establishment, which is also retaliating against other Pashtun and Baloch leaders. The CM and a number of others have often stated that Manzoor Pashteen of the PTM has allied with the TTP in addition to Imran Khan’s party and his provincial government.
One former Indian major general went on record saying that during the whole process, India was not just giving Pashtun and Baloch factions technical aid at an event. Rather, it has also been funding which is a major achievement of Indian policy.
On September 12, during an additional Indian current affairs program, three prominent analysts stated that Pakistan’s influence in the region has grown following the formation of a pro-Pakistani government in Bangladesh. They also mentioned the possibility of instability in India’s border states. As a result, Indian intelligence agencies have not only become closer to the Afghan government through the counter-strategy, but have also increased their “support” and patronage of other anti-state organisations, such as Imran Khan’s party.
