Many commonalities between their concepts and approaches have been observed

Negotiations with delegations are outside the purview of the Chief Minister

Ghag Report

ANP central president Senator Aimal Wali Khan has described the proscribed TTP and PTI as allies, claiming that the two forces have been assisting each other politically and organisationally in various ways for the last 10-12 years and that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been “compromised.” Speaking privately in Islamabad, he stated that under Imran Khan’s reign, General (retired) Faiz Hameed and the current provincial government’s spokesman, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, met with the TTP to discuss this coordination, but the outcome is well known. He stated that the province’s Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, could not negotiate with neighboring countries.

Even though the minister has been forced to make such pronouncements, there is no disputing that the TTP and PTI have numerous similarities. Rather, they have been supporting one another in various ways on several occasions for many years, and this support is what has led to the latest move. In response to a query, Aimal Wali Khan stated that his party is willing to provide any form of assistance for building peace, but that persisting difficulties and challenges cannot be fixed or removed by jirgas.
