The lobbying and pressure from the family of former Prime Minister Imran Khan to put their preferred members in the province cabinet has increased, and the operations of the cabinet and government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have devolved into a farce. On the direct orders of Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, Mashaal Yousafzai, who was removed from the provincial cabinet last week, is reportedly being added back to the cabinet. Some sources also claim that the Governor House has received a summary of the re-notification from the Chief Minister House. In addition to the complaints of several significant cabinet members and lawmakers, it is said that Mashal Yousafzai was removed from the cabinet due to direct intervention and demand from Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan. Though Bushra Bibi was detained, the founding chairman not only took serious notice of this action but also instructed Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to promptly re-insert Mashaal Yousafzai into the government.
