GHAG Report
Pakistan Peoples Party, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed concern about the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s and the PTI’s announcements and attitudes toward terrorism and Afghanistan, claiming that the provincial government has behaved strangely while attempting to make basic issues such as national security and foreign policy controversial. As a result, we demand that a joint session of the Senate and the National Assembly be called and that be briefed on what is going on in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with local representatives invited to attend so that we can all not only review the current situation but also provide feedback.
In an exclusive interview with anchorperson Adil Shahzeb at Dawn News, Bilawal Bhutto stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister announced that he will handle his own security and foreign policy, as well as discuss direct negotiations. Bilawal Bhutto stated that there have been reports of the provincial administration supplying money to terrorists, which falls under the category of financial terrorism. As a result, this situation must be carefully monitored. Because it can be concluded that the provincial government wants to run a separate foreign and security policy.
In response to a question, Bilawal Bhutto stated that it is unfortunate that the representatives of the Afghan government with whom the Chief Minister of PTI has made direct discussions did not even stand in honor of our national anthem at an event hosted by the same chief executive. That is why we demand a combined session to discuss what is occurring in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He went on to say that, while Imran Khan, his party, and the provincial government continued to wage judicial and political fights for their politics, they could not be permitted to politicize national security and foreign policy in this way.
