The TTP is a branch or subsidiary of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which was moved from Afghanistan to Pakistan by the party’s founder during his leadership, according to Defence Minister Khawaja Asif. Speaking to the media in Sialkot, he claimed that the PTI has ties to and sympathies with both the Taliban and Afghans and that this is why hundreds of miscreants from Afghanistan were also involved in the attack on Islamabad by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
The Defence Minister claimed that the party above had a policy of transferring thousands of terrorists who had sought sanctuary in Afghanistan to Pakistan; as a result, we are witnessing a new wave of terrorism in Pakistan. He went on to say that while it is unacceptable for one province’s government to invade another using armed forces and government resources, this kind of behavior will not be tolerated at all.
