PESHAWAR

GHAG Report

Reputable journalists in Peshawar have referred to the PTM’s campaign of intimidation and derogatory language directed towards journalists from mainstream media as an extreme narrative. They claim that the pro-PTM views journalists who are sitting outside the country as legitimate media personnel occupied with advancing their foreign agenda.

Ali Akbar (Journalist)

Senior journalist Ali Akbar claims that everyone is subject to criticism and that we are carrying out our work within Pakistan’s media ethics. He claims that people in charge of these organizations’ propaganda campaigns under the guise of independent media have been forced to do so by their employment obligations and visa requirements. Everyone knows who they are and what they want. They never instruct us.

Arif Yousafzai (Journalist)

Senior journalist Arif Yousafzai claims that Manzoor Pashteen and his associates are depressed and are expressing their resentment on the media and us. Their repulsive actions have also shown their moral standards. He claims that Manzoor Pashteen was the first to react to the 4 activists who were killed by the provincial government at the hands of the police, who then helped to organize the jirga.

Shams Momand (Analyst)

Shams Momand, an analyst, claims that we not only reported and took part in the jirga, but also supported its justifiable demands. PTM ought to put more effort into improving ties with the media than pointlessly criticizing it.

Irfan Khan (Journalist)

As per the knowledgeable journalist Irfan Khan, we are fully aware of the hidden agendas of the people behind a highly anomalous event and the organization that is disseminating misleading information, but we have been behaving calmly and honoring our customs. The international journalists who are supporting them in an anti-state campaign Whether they are in favor of us or against us are irrelevant.

Asif Nisar Ghayasi (Journalist)

Senior journalist Asif Nisar Ghayasi says it is unfortunate that PTM and some others have this mindset. The goal of political parties and similar organizations is to gain more supporters, but in this case, the situation is reversed, and they will have to pay a price for their actions rather than reap the rewards.
