Government and security sources have responded to BNP chief Akhtar Mengal’s allegations, calling his claim that two of his parliamentarians were kidnapped or an attempt has been made to buy them proven wrong.
According to the state institutions, Nasima Ehsan has been present in the Parliament lodges while Qasim Ronjo is present in his house and Akhtar Mengal has acted with a false narrative that has nothing to do with reality. On the other hand, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, while talking to the media last night, revealed that his two senators Faisal Saleem and Zarqa Taimur have changed their loyalties. Opposition leader Omar Ayub has alleged that seven of his parliamentarians have been kidnapped. Security and government sources have dismissed the allegations as part of a blame game.
Meanwhile, the sessions of the Senate and the National Assembly have been called again on Sunday, and experts think that other amendments, including the 26th constitutional amendment, will be passed due to the fulfillment of the numbers.
