103 Killed, Over 150 Injured Across 28 Districts of Pakistan
Peshawar (Ghag Report):
During October 2024, 48 terrorist attacks, including four suicide bombings, were carried out across 28 districts of Pakistan. According to security data, a record number of terrorist activities were reported in all four provinces during the month, with 78% of the attacks targeting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The attacks claimed the lives of over 100 individuals, the majority of whom were security personnel, particularly police officers, while dozens of civilians also fell victim. Approximately 150 people were injured in these incidents.
Commenting on the situation, former Interior Secretary and prominent analyst Dr. Akhtar Ali Shah stated that the ongoing wave of violence involves multiple internal and external forces and proxies aimed at destabilizing Pakistan. He emphasized that this is no longer confined to a specific region or province.
Dr. Shah stressed the need for all political and state stakeholders to set aside political affiliations and differences, come together on a single platform, and formulate a comprehensive strategy. He urged the effective implementation of as many points of the National Action Plan as possible to address this escalating crisis.
