Six Senior Commanders of Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group Killed in Drone Strike

Miranshah: ( Ghag Report)

In a major blow to the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group, six senior and top-ranking commanders of the militant faction were killed in a targeted drone strike in North Waziristan. According to a statement released by the banned group, the strike occurred when a vehicle, packed with weapons and explosives intended for transfer to another location, was hit in the village of Tappi in Miranshah Tehsil.

The group confirmed that the vehicle, which had been loaded with arms and explosive material, was struck by a drone while stationary at a house. The explosion triggered by the strike resulted in the death of the six commanders, along with the destruction of the vehicle and its deadly contents.

The Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group identified the deceased commanders as high-ranking figures within their organization. Among the casualties, four were noted as senior leaders of the notorious militant group Jaysh-e-Umari, a faction known for its involvement in several high-profile attacks in the region.

The commanders killed in the strike include:

Commander Naqibullah

Commander Fateh, also known as Dr.

Commander Malang Waleed

Commander Abbas

Commander Khalid Pardesi

Commander Jihad Yarqa

These commanders were key figures within the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group, which has long operated in the rugged terrain of North Waziristan. Their deaths represent a significant blow to the group’s leadership and may have far-reaching consequences for the faction’s future operations.

The drone strike underscores the ongoing efforts by Pakistan’s security forces to target militant leaders and disrupt the networks that continue to destabilize the region. It also highlights the evolving tactics in the fight against extremism, where precision strikes have become a critical tool in dismantling terrorist organizations.

The death of these high-profile commanders may disrupt the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group’s command structure and could potentially shift the power dynamics in North Waziristan, offering hope for a reduction in militant activity in the region.
