Clashes Between Security Forces and Militants in Tirah and Bannu: 11 Militants Killed, 11 Soldiers Martyred

Peshawar (Ghag Report):

In a span of 24 hours, at least three clashes were reported between security forces and militants in two districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the martyrdom of 11 security personnel and the killing of 11 militants, according to media reports and credible local sources.

The most significant confrontation occurred in the Tirah Valley, specifically in the Bagh area, where a convoy of security forces was ambushed. This attack led to the martyrdom of seven or eight soldiers. In a retaliatory operation, six militants were reported killed.

In another incident in Mali Khel, Bannu, three security personnel embraced martyrdom, while multiple militants were reportedly killed during the clash. Additionally, in Dera Ismail Khan’s Kulachi area, two militants were eliminated by the security forces in a separate operation.

Reports of an explosion in Mali Khel also surfaced; however, these remain unconfirmed.

As of Wednesday morning, the ISPR had not released any formal statement regarding these incidents.

The surge in violence underscores the increasing challenges faced by security forces in maintaining stability in the region.
