Islamabad: ( Ghag Report) Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that Afghan nationals residing in Islamabad must acquire a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Deputy Commissioner’s office by December 31, failing which they will no longer be allowed to stay within the city limits.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Naqvi emphasized that the government’s priority is restoring daily normalcy. He clarified that Afghan citizens who wish to remain in the federal capital must fulfill the NOC requirement, as no exceptions will be made beyond the deadline.
The minister also addressed rumors regarding recent incidents, dismissing claims that police officers were armed during operations or that mass casualties were reported. “Propaganda suggested 33 bodies were at a hospital, but such claims lack evidence. It’s a shameful attempt to avoid accountability,” Naqvi stated.
The measures underscore the government’s resolve to maintain order and address security concerns in the capital.
