General Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) in Pabbi today to observe the ongoing Pak-China Joint Exercise Warrior-VIII, as pe r a press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The exercise, which began on November 19, 2024, is a three-week-long counter-terrorism training collaboration between the Pakistan Army and the People’s Liberation Army of China.
During his visit, COAS was briefed on the scope and conduct of the exercise, which marks the eighth iteration of the annual bilateral training series. He also interacted with the participating troops, praising their professionalism and high morale throughout the exercise.
The exercise focuses on enhancing counter-terrorism capabilities and fostering deeper military cooperation between Pakistan and China. Upon his arrival at NCTC Pabbi, General Munir was received by the Commander of Rawalpindi Corps.
This joint exercise underscores the strong military ties between the two nations and their shared commitment to addressing global security challenges.
