Commencement of Integral Formation Commanders Conference

In GHQ Rawalpindi, the 84th two-day conference of Pakistan Army formation commanders was conducted which was chaired by the Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir. Based on the information made public by the ISPR, the conference thoroughly examined the problems and challenges that the nation faces, both domestically and internationally, and decided that the Armed Forces of Pakistan would not only continue to concentrate on the security situation in the nation but also seek to fortify its security apparatus. Instead, it will be useful in guaranteeing continued government efforts to enhance socioeconomic circumstances. According to the statement, the conference was briefed on the counter-terrorism situation and measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan and expressed its determination to deal firmly with all these groups and forces, including Majeed Brigade and Khawarij. Concern was raised that Afghanistan’s land was being exploited against Pakistan, resulting in instability in Pakistan by Khawarij. Because Pakistan and Afghanistan are both Islamic countries, the emphasis should be on collaborative efforts to combat terrorism. It was also emphasized that all essential actions would be taken to ensure the reconstruction of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, with the Pakistan Army playing a positive role in this respect.

The negative propaganda being spread by some political parties against the state, particularly the Pakistan Army, was criticized, and the civil governments were urged to take the required steps to maintain control and halt the spread of propaganda and anti-state activities under the pretense of free speech. The security men who were martyred during a recent demonstration were honored with a recitation of Fatiha Khawani. Along with expressing deep worry over the horrors that the Indian government has been doing in occupied Kashmir, the conference promised to do everything in its power to help the oppressed Kashmiri people.

Pakistan undoubtedly faces numerous domestic and external challenges and issues, but it is encouraging that the coalition government and top military leadership are cognisant of them all. Instead, by working together to address the issues, governmental institutions are also taking the required actions. Although the state appears to be combating terrorism together, it is crucial to clear the path for the political forces that have been attempting to sow chaos in the nation, and events like May 9 were also carried out in this regard.

Social media campaigns against Pakistan and its key institutions have become intolerable. Because of this, strict procedures must be implemented that include negative features and are devoid of any discretion or compromise. The relevant civic institutions should also actively participate in this process.
