Peshawar (Ghag Report)

Several federal and sensitive authorities have started to prepare to file complaints under the PECA Act and cybercrime against several individuals involved in anti-state propaganda and fake news in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and to take legal action against those involved. According to media reports and other sources, the relevant institutions were initially given the list of these individuals. Most of the people who took part in the anti-state propaganda using fake news during the PTI final call were not just PTI members. Approximately twelve members of the legislature and a few provincial ministers are also among these.

The FIA and several others are initially anticipated to launch a crackdown in the coming days, based on the information provided by the government agencies, which is almost 40 or 50 individuals. It is also expected that they might also be charged with anti-terrorism.
