Pakistan Army Is a Well-Organized National Force Representing All Provinces
Pashtun Youth Are Patriotic and Highly Capable – Exclusive Interview with FM Suno Pakhtunkhwa
Peshawar (GHAG Report)
President of the Ex-Servicemen Society and Patron-in-Chief of the Youth Parliament, Senator General Lieutenant Abdul Qayyum, stated that the people and youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are not only talented but also deeply patriotic toward Pakistan. He dismissed the perception that there is any resentment or resistance against Pakistan in the region.
During an exclusive interview at the Peshawar office of FM Suno Pakhtunkhwa, he emphasized that all attempts to incite anti-Pakistan sentiments among the youth through foreign propaganda will be thwarted. He also asserted that elements trying to create a rift between the people and the military will fail in their attempts.
Responding to a question, he noted that Pakistan has consistently supported Afghanistan and its people as a neighboring country and is currently hosting more than three million Afghan refugees. However, Afghanistan has been used against Pakistan by countries like India, and after the Doha Agreement, the Afghan interim government has been providing weapons and other resources to the Kharijite (TTP) militants, enabling their terrorist activities. Pakistan is prepared to take all necessary measures to counter this threat and will show no leniency in this regard.
He further stressed that any negotiations or diplomatic engagements with Afghanistan or any other entity fall under the domain of the federal government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government intends to engage in any discussions, it must consult and seek approval from the federal government and relevant authorities. While negotiations with the Afghan interim government are possible, there should be no dialogue with the Kharijites unless they surrender their weapons.
In response to another question, General Lieutenant (Retd.) Abdul Qayyum reaffirmed that Pakistan’s military is a national institution comprising personnel from all provinces, ethnicities, and regions. He highlighted that this military unity has kept Pakistan secure and intact. He also pointed out that Pakistan’s adversaries are actively working to create discord between the public and the armed forces, but such conspiracies will be foiled.
