Asad Qaiser and Shehram Tarakai Accused of Fleeing Protest Convoy Amid Uproar

Kati Pahari (Ghag Report):

In a dramatic turn of events, senior PTI leaders Asad Qaiser and Shehram Tarakai reportedly abandoned the party’s protest convoy near Kati Pahari, approximately 15 kilometers from Islamabad. The convoy, consisting of PTI workers from various parts of KP, was en route to D-Chowk when chaos unfolded.

Eyewitnesses claim that both leaders sped away towards Peshawar in separate vehicles — Shehram in a black Vigo and Asad in a white one — leaving the protesters stunned. Chanting slogans of “thieves” and “traitors,” the abandoned workers expressed outrage, accusing the leaders of fleeing the scene during a critical moment. Some described the fleeing leaders as “masters of black and white” during their time in power, who now escaped in similarly colored vehicles bought with ill-gotten wealth.

Sources reveal that as the convoy inches closer to Islamabad, more PTI leaders are discreetly leaving the movement. Just yesterday, KP Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur narrowly avoided being caught by protestors when he attempted to slip away under the pretext of using a restroom. Gandapur argued that he was heading to the rest area washroom to prepare for prayer, but protestors, suspicious of his intentions, blocked his exit and forced him to stay.

Learning from Gandapur’s failed escape, Qaiser and Tarakai allegedly executed their retreat with precision, leaving no chance for protestors to intercept them. Their departure has fueled further unrest among the workers, who now fear that other leaders may also abandon the cause as tensions rise.

Despite the commotion, the convoy slowly resumed its journey toward Islamabad, but the morale of the workers appeared shaken. The picturesque Kati Pahari, marred by crushed stone plants, now stands witness to another kind of abandonment — this time, of leadership and responsibility.
