Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, arrived at the CM House in Peshawar under the security and extraordinary protocol of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government after being suddenly freed from jail yesterday. According to media sources, she travelled from Islamabad to Peshawar in official protocol with the party’s central head and opposition leader, Omar Ayub, and provincial adviser Mashal Yousafzai, where they were lodged in the annexe of the CM House and received warm welcome.
Although some sources in the provincial government have informally described her arrival in Peshawar as a purpose to get her examined from Shaukat Khanum Hospital, while the government’s spokesman, Barrister Saif, also said in his statement that Bushra Bibi will stay here for a few days, but soon after her arrival, not only did she start her activities in the CM House and issue instructions by contacting many important leaders, but there were also reports of the PTI Political Committee calling for an emergency meeting. It was also reported that she would deal with the proposed movement, protest, and other measures by making the CM House her residence for a long time.
Unexpectedly few party leaders welcomed the decision to release her and then her arrival in Peshawar, largely due to the party’s internal differences and also due to the reason why Bushra Bibi is so dependent and trusting on Mashal Yousafzai, a controversial character.
