In a statement issued to the media by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited troops engaged in a field training exercise near Narowal and Sialkot. The exercise was designed to refine the professional skills and battlefield procedures of the military personnel, ensuring they are prepared for emerging operational challenges.
The training included integrated operations across several military units, such as Armour, Infantry, Mechanized Infantry, Artillery, Air Defence, Army Aviation, and Anti-Tank Guided Missile units. The exercise also demonstrated the use of electronic warfare capabilities and information operations, aiming to disrupt enemy communications and counter disinformation tactics in modern combat scenarios.
During his visit, General Munir spent the day with the troops in the field, closely observing their performance and offering valuable insights. He commended the soldiers for their high standards of training, operational readiness, and morale. In his interaction with the troops, he emphasized the importance of maintaining constant preparedness to respond to any potential threats posed by adversaries.
“The Pakistan Armed Forces, with the unwavering support of the nation, are fully capable of safeguarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our beloved motherland against the entire spectrum of threats,” said General Munir.
Upon his arrival at the exercise area, the COAS was received by the Commander of Gujranwala Corps and the Inspector General of Training and Evaluation.
