A delegation from the UK-based Overseas Business Forum, led by Chairman Muhammad Farooq Khan, met with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor House to discuss strategies for promoting local businesses and products in international markets.
During the meeting, the delegation briefed the governor on their efforts to enhance the global presence of Pakistani businesses, particularly in the UK and other European countries. They highlighted the stark contrast between exports from Punjab and Sindh compared to KP, where exports remain minimal. The delegation expressed their willingness to organize international exhibitions to showcase KP’s unique products and businesses, emphasizing the need for serious initiatives to introduce the province’s industries to the global market.
Governor Kundi acknowledged the challenges posed by the province’s security situation, which has significantly impacted its industrial and business sectors. He stressed the importance of facilitating tourism-related initiatives and improving essential infrastructure to create a conducive environment for economic growth.
The meeting underscored the shared commitment to advancing KP’s economic potential and strengthening its international trade presence.
