Islamabad Traders Demand Compensation and Contempt of Court Action for 3-Day Sit-in

Islamabad (Ghag Report):

Khalid Chaudhry, Secretary Information of the All Pakistan Traders Association and Secretary of the Traders Action Committee Islamabad, has called for compensation for traders affected by the recent three-day sit-in in Islamabad. He urged the government to address the losses caused by the protest, which led to business closures and supply chain disruptions, particularly in the fruit and vegetable markets.

Chaudhry also called for contempt of court action against those responsible for disregarding court orders during the protest. He stressed the need for the government to allocate designated protest areas to prevent further economic losses and urged Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, and Chief Commissioner ICT Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa to take immediate action to safeguard the interests of Islamabad’s traders and citizens.
