Khujal Khel Tribe’s Grand Jirga Resolves to Combat Illegal Retaliatory Actions

Wana (Ghag Report):

A grand jirga of the Khujal Khel tribe was held in the Sangah area of Shakai tehsil, Lower South Waziristan. Tribal elders and respected members gathered to deliberate and take significant decisions aimed at maintaining peace and justice in the region.

In a unanimous resolution, the jirga condemned acts of vengeance targeting innocent individuals under the guise of personal enmities. It was decided that anyone who harms or kills an innocent person instead of the actual perpetrator would be considered a criminal by the tribe. A definitive and stringent ruling against such individuals will be made in the next jirga.

Speaking on the occasion, Malik Muazzal Khan Khujal emphasized that such illegal and unethical practices are intolerable for the tribe. He assured that the Khujal Khel tribe would devise a united strategy to uphold peace and stability in the area.

He further stated that the tribe is committed to finding a resolution to these issues and will take concrete steps to prevent such incidents in the future. Other tribal elders also expressed their views and extended their full support to the decisions taken.

This collective resolution by the jirga is seen as a significant move toward ensuring peace and justice in the region.
