The security situation in the region has been attributed to the Afghan interim government’s sponsorship of terrorist groups, according to foreign ministers and other high-ranking officials from Pakistan, China, Iran, and Russia who were in New York. They stated that the TTP and several other Baloch terrorist groups are not limited to operating out of Afghanistan. Instead, the Taliban and their provisional government in Afghanistan patronize and assist each of them.
Media reports state that during this crucial meeting, China and Pakistan agreed to a joint stance based on facts, asserting that while certain terrorist organizations, such as the TTP, the Baloch Liberation Army, and the Majeed Brigade, are operating inside Afghanistan, they still pose a threat to China as well as to Pakistan and other nearby nations. The two nations emphasized the necessity of a coordinated approach to counterterrorism, which Russia and Iran openly backed.
On this occasion, Russia and Iran expressed serious concern that Afghanistan’s territory is being utilized for terrorist attacks against Pakistan and others. The two countries asked Afghanistan’s interim government and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to comply with the Doha accord and to refrain from using their territory against anyone.
