PTI Poses Security and Economic Risk, Alleges PML-N Leader Ikhtiar Wali Khan

Islamabad (Ghag Report):

Ikhtiar Wali Khan, a senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and former provincial minister, has accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of posing a serious threat to the country’s security and economic stability. In a strong statement at a press conference held at the National Press Club in Islamabad, Wali Khan claimed that PTI is working against Pakistan’s national interests, undermining crucial projects like CPEC and Gwadar, and jeopardizing the country’s economic future. He alleged that PTI is driven by a desire to see Pakistan default and that their social media accounts are operated from hostile nations, spreading misinformation and attacking state institutions.

Wali Khan sharply criticized the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, for prioritizing attacks on the federal government rather than addressing the pressing issues facing the people of the province. He accused PTI of using the province to apply pressure on the federal government, warning that the party has failed to mature into a responsible political entity.

He called on Pakistanis to unite against the threats posed by PTI and stressed the importance of safeguarding the country’s future by rejecting the party’s destructive agenda. Wali Khan further pointed out that despite the positive economic growth Pakistan is witnessing, with investments from Saudi Arabia and the UAE, PTI remains opposed to these developments as they conflict with the party’s agenda of national decline.

Responding to PTI’s claims about the potential breakup of Pakistan, Wali Khan categorically rejected the notion, saying such wishes would never come true. He also condemned PTI for circulating a baseless report, initially aired on Russian TV, about 15 Pakistani posts being under enemy control. This misinformation was later debunked, but PTI continues to propagate the falsehood, which Wali Khan attributed to foreign-backed attempts to destabilize Pakistan.

Wali Khan accused PTI’s leadership of hypocrisy, criticizing them for blaming inflation while spending billions on legal defense for the party’s founder. He demanded an inquiry into the source of these funds, revealing that PTI’s founder incurs daily expenses of 500,000 rupees for his prison stay, enjoying privileges far beyond the ordinary citizen.

Turning to the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Wali Khan expressed deep concern over rising crime rates, including kidnappings for ransom, and the worsening public services. He pointed out that the provincial government’s failure to address these issues, along with its harsh treatment of human rights protesters, shows its incompetence. Wali Khan also highlighted the deterioration of education and healthcare in the province, revealing that thousands of schools are understaffed, with one teacher often responsible for hundreds of students, and a severe shortage of medicines forcing citizens to seek treatment outside the province.

Wali Khan concluded by urging the people of Pakistan to recognize the risks posed by PTI and unite to ensure the country’s stability, prosperity, and security.
