Seven Police Personnel Abducted by Unknown Assailants in Bannu’s Ahmadzai Subdivision

In a distressing turn of events, seven police personnel were abducted along with their weapons by unidentified attackers in the remote Ahmadzai subdivision of Bannu.

The assailants reportedly overpowered the officers at the Rocha checkpoint, seizing control of the post and taking the policemen hostage. In addition to abducting the seven personnel—identified as Saleem, Aqal Rehman, Maiwa Jan, Roshan, Abdul Malik, Naimatullah, and Shad Muhammad—the attackers looted all supplies from the checkpoint, including food and other essentials.

Four policemen narrowly escaped abduction as they were away in the local bazaar at the time of the attack.

Following the incident, police forces have cordoned off the area and launched a comprehensive search operation to locate the abducted personnel and apprehend the perpetrators. Security forces are employing all available resources to ensure a swift and secure resolution to the crisis.

This incident highlights the increasing challenges faced by law enforcement in maintaining peace in remote and volatile regions. Authorities have reassured the public that every possible effort is being made to recover the abducted officers safely and restore stability in the area.
