The KP government has banned government employees from participating in the PTM jirga, but despite this, steps are being taken against them. In this regard, some intelligence agencies, in addition to the necessary ministries and departments, have launched investigations. Instead of being terrified of the anticipated action, hundreds of government personnel, according to official sources, not only took part in the PTM jirga but also actively campaigned for the event and uploaded images and videos on social media.
More than 250 government workers have reportedly been identified, and by protocol, their names have been added to Schedule IV. There are around 20 workers regularly delivering pro-PTM speeches in various tents or campuses, they also addressed a few foreign radio stations that were participating in a regular campaign against the government while disguising a PTM jirga. The Departments of Education and Health comprise the majority of them, and each one is being profiled.
Additionally, intelligence agencies compiled the monitoring reports for the government personnel taking part in the jirga and provided them to the relevant departments. Higher authorities were then instructed to notify the respective departments of the feedback received regarding the proposed action.
However, dozens of others, including the PTM leader, have started a regular campaign against several YouTubers and journalists in addition to the mainstream media, declaring journalists as dubbed traitors and touts in this campaign. Numerous reliable analysts have been subjected to repeated abuses and threats, and during this campaign, anti-state media representatives from some foreign media outlets seemed to play a wilfully negligent role by enforcing the anti-state narrative of PTM on the public through a methodical plan.
Some pro-PTM media people continued their “adventures” after the event ended and participated in data collection, according to another official source.
